I attended Drake University and graduated with a degree in education. Before becoming a Project Manager, I spent many years as a middle school language arts teacher as well as a high school track and cross country coach. These experiences gave me the opportunity to learn how to build relationships and collaborate with customers. I love to help people protect their most important investment and turn their home-improvement dreams into reality. Outside of Heartland, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children. My hobbies include barbequing, camping, watching college football, and playing yard games with the family.

Heartland completed a full replacement of storm damaged roof, siding, and downspouts in Summer/Fall 2022. Easy to work with up-front during the back and forth with insurance. We hired Heartland to replace our siding on our house and garage. The service, from receiving a quote through the cleanup process, was professional and very friendly. The installation went smooth and our new siding looks amazing! Once finished, someone came out to inspect the work and make sure everything was cleaned up to Heartlands standards. He noticed additional cleanup was necessary and a couple items on the siding needed touched up and this work was completed the very next day. If you are interested in new siding, I would fully recommend Heartland!

Josh Maxwell came and gave an estimate for damage on my roof. He made the process of dealing with my insurance company super easy and the crew was here exactly when he said they would be. They finished the job in 1 day. Clean-up after the roof was completed was super impressive, not 1 nail was left behind and you couldn't even tell anyone was working on the house except for my beautiful new roof. I am beyond pleased with every aspect of the process with Heartland. Josh Maxwell the estimator was so thorough and professional during the quoting process that I did not even get other bids. They arrived at the time they said, on the day they said & by 6pm everything was cleaned up and they were gone. Perfect. Like magic. Ben the project manager and Jack are excellent communicators explaining everything and answering all my questions leaving me without any concerns. I was looking for ONE company to quote and manage the installation of my roof, soffit, facia and gutters and Heartland has certainly delivered. Matt went above and beyond in helping with my insurance claim. They were timely in answering questions throughout the whole process, and they did excellent work with the actual roofing job. Other than actually seeing the new roof, I wouldn't have known anyone had been there as they did an awesome job cleaning up after themselves. I'd have them again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend them and their quality work.

Going through the insurance process can make you feel like you are in a time crunch. It can be overwhelming, stressful, or even a pain to get everything done. We understand that this can cause a homeowner to feel that way, and want to give them peace of mind. With Sara's insurance project, Josh had multiple conversations with her insurance company to get her roof fully approved, and it worked! Once her insurance company gave us the thumbs up, her project was ready to roll! Sara had selected Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles in the shade of slatestone gray. Josh stayed in touch to inform Sara about when the material was going to be dropped off when the crews would arrive, and what to expect during the construction part of the job. Sara was very appreciative of Josh and the rest of the Heartland team!

Bill's siding sustained damage due to high winds and hail. Bill contacted Heartland, and we immediately took the extra steps to find a similar color match through our national database of siding colors. We found a similar product, however, Bill decided to switch it up and go with Mastic Carvedwood siding in pebblestone clay with montana suede shakes. These shakes alone add definition and drama, along with the darker shade of siding - look at that trim pop! It was a pleasure working with you, Bill - we loved being a part of your journey!
