About John Winter:

A dedicated husband and father of 3 kids - two daughters, and one energetic son. I love that Heartland is committed to family. I am surrounded by exceptional individuals that strive to provide every client with the best customer service and experience possible. I love that every day here is different. This endeavor is similar to my previous 15-year career as a Paramedic and Career Firefighter with the Iowa City Fire Department. Helping those in need and being a reliable and trustworthy source is something that I am used to.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids and keeping up with all our children’s activities and sports. I currently officiate Division 1 College Football, which is a strong passion of mine. I have also been active in instructing baseball and softball hitting and pitching lessons to kids ages 7-18 for the past 3 years. And when I’m not doing any of that… I love to play a round of golf or a best-shot tourney when time allows.

We had a small project to correct a ventilation issue in our roof. John helped walk us through what we needed to do. The process from start to fix was easy and affordable. The two guys that did the work were quick and did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend this company.

We had our roof and skylight replaced by Heartland. It was more complicated than most jobs since we had solar panels which needed to be removed and then re-attached. John Winter was our project manager and he was excellent to work with. Communication throughout the process was timely and professional. All in all it was a very positive experience, the whole crew was great, especially Ben, the lead of the team, who was exceptionally good to work with. The teams who did the skylight was also very knowledgeable and communicative.

Stared out with John Winter & he got this all set up.Did a lot for us.Thant you John. We had them do some siding & gutters.They did an excellent job.They went right to work & got it done in good time.They picked up after themselves every day.Travis in charge came everyday to check on the job & answered all our questions.When they were done Travis came back to do a walk through & made sure everything was okay & we ere very pleased.Would definitely contact them again for other projects.5 stars for sure.

First one on the block to get storm damage repaired! John was a huge advocate with the insurance company and it saved us a ton of time. Heartlands roofing team finished the job in just one day. From start to finish was a great experience for a first time home owner. Highly recommend!
